Community Care Crew reaches out to Lafayette Habilitation Center - May 16, 2008
The Care Crew assisted with much needed yard clean up and planting.  The entire front and side received new shrubs and flowers.  A small tree was planted outside a group of residents windows for viewing.  The patio was not used by the residents in the past.  The Community Care Crew turned the patio area into something special!  It was a hard but rewarding day of work.

Daniel and Henry Proud Supporters of Special Olympics - April 19, 2008
The 33rd Annual East Area Spring Games took place on April 19, 2008.  Special Olympics allows area athletes to reach new heights because of the continued support and dedication of volunteers, sponsors, families and friends.  Daniel and Henry was a proud supporter of this years event.  Over 25 Daniel and Henry volunteers assisted with Victory Village and Track and Field competitions.

Nothing could sum up the day better than the Volunteer Oath:
I promise to give of the time in my life so that Special Olympics athletes can have the time of their lives.
I promise to support Special Olympics not just as an expression of charity but as a form of respect for my fellow human beings.
I promise to spread the word of volunteerism because, in giving, I receive so much more in return.

Daniel and Henry helps flood victim - March 31, 2008
Daniel and Henry employees  donated clothes, household goods, toys and money last week to the flood victim who lost everything. Jen, a single mother of two, lost her home in Ellington, MO, in a flash flood (about 3 hours south of here). There was less than an hour's warning to evacuate, and she and her kids were left with the clothes on their backs, as she was at work and her kids were at school when the evacuation order came in. Through the generosity of Daniel & Henry employees, they now at least have some items to get them off the ground.

Daniel and Henry goes green - March 17, 2008
The Daniel and Henry Community Outreach Team raised a little green for St. Patrick's Center for the homeless. Since 1983, St. Patrick Center has helped lead more than 114,000 homeless and impoverished to lives of self-sufficiency and dignity. They are the largest provider of homeless services in Missouri. Currently they have 22 programs serving more than 9,000 persons annually who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Employees contributed $5 or more to dress casual for St. Patricks day. $575 was raised for this worthy cause.
