Daniel and Henry Celebrates 90 Years of Operations in St. Louis with Employee Gala and Proclamation from Mayor Francis Slay

Declaring October 20, 2011 as ‘Daniel and Henry Company Day in St. Louis,’ Mayor Francis Slay joined more than 300 employees and guests of The Daniel And Henry Co. earlier this month to celebrate the insurance brokerage’s milestone of 90 consecutive years of operations in the City of St. Louis. A gala event was held at the Norman K. Probstein Golf Clubhouse in Forest Park with a program that featured formal recognition of the company’s founders and many long-time employees for their accomplishments.

“The Daniel And Henry Co. is to be commended for being a constant source of employment, support and commitment,” said Mayor Slay. “The city of St. Louis has provided fertile ground and an environment for Daniel and Henry to grow, and we are pleased to have them as part of our community.”

The Daniel And Henry Co. was founded in 1921 in downtown St. Louis, and has grown into an insurance brokerage firm with more than 300 employees and annual premiums in excess of $250,000,000. The firm is one of the largest independent commercial insurance brokers in Missouri and ranks among the 100 largest nationally.
