Safeco Insurance and The Daniel & Henry Company Support Angels' Arms

St. Louis, Mo. (September 2, 2011) — The Daniel & Henry Company Community Outreach announced today that Safeco Insurance has donated $1,000 to Angels’ Arms in St. Louis.

Robert E. Ruebsam of The Daniel & Henry Company nominated Angels’ Arms for a grant through the Safeco Insurance Agent Giving Program, which supports and honors the civic engagement of Safeco agents and recognizes and celebrates individuals and nonprofit organizations that make a difference in their communities.

“We are grateful for the support of the Safeco Insurance for the work of Angels’ Arms in our community,” said Ruebsam.

Angels’ Arms takes care of foster children in the St. Louis and St. Charles Counties by providing them with a caring family and constant support. The organization takes advantage of numerous resources to aid the children as they grow, and offers experiences and opportunities they otherwise would not have. Because siblings are often separated upon entering foster care, Angels’ Arms particularly focuses on keeping the siblings together.

Jim Ruebsam, Robert’s son, was the President of the Junior Board from 2006 to 2009. Currently, he is on the Board of Directors and Long Term Planning Committee.
